alright, me in a nutshell
my name is JD and I grew up in Davis,ca
I'm 19 years old and now I go to Chico State for Civil Engineering
I've been whistling tunes since I can remember and I picked up the guitar about 5 years ago, singing about 3 years ago and bass this year
I grew up on a wide array of musical influences from alternative/punk/rock like sum41, blink 182, offspring and also a lot of classic rock
Recently I've come to respect, if not enjoy almost all forms of music and I'm stoked to learn how they all connect/influence another
I especially love how emotion is expressed in each genre and how the human mind interprets it
when I first heard RHCP, they seemed to express with music to how I felt the world. I can say with certainty this band, especially john frusciante has changed my life. I don't want to come off as over-adoring but yeah, i love em
This summer I'm working as a councilor at a summer camp (tawonga)
next year I'm out of the dorms and I have a place with great friends
