Hello again old friends,
I was here a few months ago telling you about (what has now become a spiritual organization), Core Webworks.
We've been making a bunch of music videos that promote interesting philosophical ideas, and finally I am happy enough with a video to test it out on Frusciante fans.
I just want to make this clear... I love Frusciante. I think he's consciously pushed music in the direction of shamanism to a very admirable extreme, and since I spent my entire twenties studying philosophy, I'm going to use whatever skills I have to promote his work, from my own understanding of spiritual enlightenment. I guess I'm just returning the favour he did for me.
I have written a book on spiritual enlightenment, in the tradition of Kierkegaard, Nietzsche, Meister Eckhart, Buddha, Jesus and more. I will try to make the work relevant to the community here, as I'd like to support John and his fans.
I have a reputation for being a bit harsh and critical, but I've mellowed out quite a bit over the years. I went through a very empty period in my late twenties and occasionally took out my pain on the people that meant the most to me, which I think is pretty typical of just about everyone.
Anyways, here's the video

Frusciante is the reason why I'm a philosopher
08 September 2011 - 01:25 PM
So I came back to this forum to get a few things off my chest.
I spent a lot of time at this forum a couple years ago... some might say I was being destructive. While I did some good, I think I was often quite rude and destructive.
However, I think every young man should kill his idols, to try to become a superior to the man he once emulated, and in my own retarded way, that's what I was doing. In Frusciante's case, I had no interest in being his superior in terms of music. Although I am a song writer, I am no guitar virtuoso and never intend to be.
However, I thought Frusciante had done something unprecedented in Rock and Roll... he combined the emotional life with a philosophical way of thinking that was convincing and felt natural to me. I felt like his music genuinely facilitated a healthy dissent from mainstream thinking and helped steer people into healthy emotional development.
I noticed at some point last year, Iva disallowed forum members from psychoanalyzing John and interpreting his lyrics from John's perspective.
She's absolutely right. It's maybe healthy to speculate a bit, but It's utterly naive and stupid to dwell on what another person means by something. This doesn't just go for John, it goes for all your relationships. Treat people well, and don't get hung up on what they meant by something they said. If they flatter you, they don't understand. If they insult you, they don't understand. We can only be responsible for ourselves, and by taking care of ourselves, we can be kind and respectful to others. We have to stop being obsessed with understanding each other intellectually, and just love.
Eventually as I got older I felt a strong limitation and discontent with what Frusciante was offering, and had to move onto pure philosophers and other musicians. Eventually I became very critical of John, but that is just a spiritual tradition where the student kills his master in his own mind. But now I'm prepared for making contribution that comes purely from me, entirely independent of John and everyone else that has influenced me.
So, the criticism and deconstruction is over, now it's time for me to be a part of what he started.
The goal of every human being should be to have a symbiotic relationship with others, rather than be critical and parasitic. So I'm gonna present you guys with something simple I did.

My goal is to make small, mind-altering web-apps. I like to think of my small websites as psychedelic drugs. Some potent quotes, a set of philosophical paragraphs, an article from latest research in psychology, some music, and more philosophical commentary of the music. Please feel free to offer other constructive criticism and ideas to improve the app and future apps.
You'll notice there is no attempt to discern what John means. This is just what I mean, I have no idea what he means. So if any of you find value in what I do, don't worry about what goes on in my head, develop yourself and make contributions that enhance the people you value, rather than diminish them.
Anyways, there is a great deal more projects to come, I'm just getting started.

I am also looking for friends to collaborate on philosphical music projects, and if you want to help me, please visit my company facebook page:
