i quit my last.fm account. a friend of mine told me to try it and i used it for about 1 year. i wasn't really happy with it, because imho the amount of plays doesn't resemble my love for a certain artist or song. secondly it doesn't srobble the music i listen to on vinyl, cd and iPod (iPod-scrobbling never worked for me...).
sometimes i caught myself listening to a record not because i really wanted to listen, but because i thought sth. like "i think i like xxx more than yyy, it should have more srobbles".
and i hardly ever used the last.fm radio function (one of the main reasons why i started my account)
i feel more connected to a certain record when i listen to it without sitting in front of my pc. just like watching a movie and really concentrate on that record. of course i enjoy listening to "background music" while surfing on the internet or doing something else, but i don't want last.fm to represent only that one side of me. :yes:

this is just my opinion. i'm not against last.fm at all, i think it's a great idea, but it didn't work for me like i expected :lol:

My last.fm

I love Last.fm, I've met a lot of cool people with similar tastes as me there. I listen to music mostly on the computer so I don't mind the scrobbling results.
