Effects/Pedalboard
John has used and/or is still using the following effects.

Distortion/Fuzz/Overdrive:

BOSS DS-1 Distortion
BOSS DS-2 Distortion
Electro-Harmonix USA Big Muff Pi Distortion/Sustainer
Electro-Harmonix Graphic Fuzz
Z.Vex Fuzz Factory
Modulation/Filter:

BOSS CE-1 Chorus Ensemble (Also used for Vibrato effects greatly used on "Stadium Arcadium").
Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress Flanger & Filter Matrix
Electro-Harmonix Frequency Analyzer
Electro-Harmonix Micro Synthensizer
Electro-Harmonix Tube Zipper
Line 6 FM4 Filter Modeler
Moog MF-103 MoogerFooger 12 Stage Phaser
MXR Phase 90 (re-issue)
Dunlop Univibe Stereo Chorus
Wah-Wah: John has several of these pedals, as they are long discontinued, and due to being made of plastic, break easily.

Jim Dunlop Crybaby Wah-Wah
Ibanez WH-10 Wah-Wah
ZVex Wah-Probe
Delay/Reverb:

Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb
Electro-Harmonix 16-second Digital Delay
Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler
Other:

BOSS Master Switch
BOSS FV-50 Volume pedal
MXR Micro Amp (John uses this to get more output from the pickups in his Strats)
Frusciante's pedalboard for the Californication tour was rather modest, only five pedals, though his effects arsenal for the By the Way tour was considerably larger.

[edit]
Guitar Strings / Picks
Frusciante uses D'Addario EXL110 strings (0.10 - 0.46) and orange Dunlop Tortex .60mm plectrums.

And I just know there's another site...

But I do know you'll need a lot of cash to buy them all :D
I saw them building up stuff for Pinkpop and John needed 3 large plates for all his pedals :D

Yeah that looks like Slane because of that black thing in the middle, you can also see it on the dvd cover.

Let's not forget the latest pedal in his arsenal, the POG (not shown in pic), and also the 4-5 Moogerfoogers in the rig as well. Sigh.

Even more info:

Posted Image
The three Moogerfooger MF-101 Low-Pass Filters, the MF-105 MuRF, the MF-105B Bass MuRF, and a MF-102 Ring Modulator are arrayed along the upper right. Two Moog Expression Pedals—used for realtime parameter control—are located just below them on the right. A third Expression Pedal, an MF-103 12-Stage Phaser, and the two CP-251 Control Processors are located on the left side of the bottom tier.

Imagine: You wake up on a dark, but cosy Christmas morning, you stagger groggily down the stairs with headache from last nights Pimms and/or sherry, you take a quick disinterested glance at the bottom of the wilting, slightly brown Christmas tree...and what do you see? Full JF Pedal board complete with Wah, Murf, Fuzz etc. (Oh and a 69 Strat twinned with a Gretsch White Falcon both resting against the mantlepeice for good measure)

Merry Christmas methinks.. ;)

This is slightly off topic but I was wondering if anyone could tell me if I'd get a decent 'Throw Away Your Television' phaser sound from a Digitech phase pedal, as opposed to the one John actually uses and whether I'd get decent Pepper's flange and phase sounds in general from the Digitech equaivilants?

Second that ^^ I'm looking for such an effect for quite some time and I am truly pondering about using the alternative:
If you are rich: I know John uses an Oberheim VCF Sample & Hold
If you are handy: here's the guide how to build one.... http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/index....d=76&Itemid=105
(While you're at it, could you make one for me, too?)

Does anyone know how the deal about the three amps he's got onstage? are they linked to each other, or what?!
