Yeah. He was in Velvet Underground and has a solo career. I'm unfamiliar with most of it, though.

I got to check out Velvet Underground, and that woman Nico.

Transformer and Cone Island Baby are my first Lou Reed stuff....really great albums. Recommended!

The Velvet Underground album I like the most is the Loaded album, which I have as a cd with bonus versions. The banana album is a good one too. But more than Velvet Underground and Lou Reed, I love Nico's stuff or should I say as you, that woman Nico's stuff. :) "Marble index" and "The end" are my two favorite Nico albums. Especially Marble index is precious... I love the atmosphere - surrounds me with its sound. :)

Karnivool - hard rock bordering on metal
http://www.youtube.c...bed/jNVqwP0Dji0

Dead Letter Circus - similar to Karnivool... and yes it's the drummer from the band!
http://www.youtube.c...bed/9iFZRGTN_VM

Birds of Tokyo - same singer from Karnivool but more on the rock side.
http://www.youtube.c...bed/M81eUTatqbo

Cog - more proggish hard rock.

Bought a Cane and Able album the other day not knowing anything about them.

Every time I judge an album by it's cover it seems to be an album that's out of this world.

If you like heavy funk you'll love Cane and Able!

Nice one Micronml.

To stay in electro music, here Aydio (Adam Harper), some downtempo/trip-hop/psyche/... I found it out yesterday. It seems to be very little known (less than 8.000 listeners on last.fm), but I thinks his music is pretty good.
