Well, I think the best part is when ultimately, they play as theirselves. Nothing beats the original Red Hot Chili Peppers!

By the way, I missed Pythagoras in the video. I thought the video was about the history of rock and who is the absolute founder of rock? Yes, pythagoras, as he discovered the relation between shortening a string and its pitch. Pythagoras ROCKS

Very true. I also think Flea looks very cool with those big star glasses on.

Yeah I agree with Jurjen..the bit where they burst into the last chorus as themselves..that just defines coolness

Maybe that's the actual purpose of the video? Maybe they actually want to show that they (think they) are better than all the people they did impressions of?

I love the end part, I said this already someplace else on the board, but after they're done impersonating all the others , it so seems like they are doing trademark Chili moves and wearing what would be considered thier trademark clothes, and doing an "impersonation" of themselves. Basically Chilis- full on :hehe:

I just love when they do funny videos like this, because they all have outstanding senses of humor, they don't mind getting all silly and letting that shine through, happy boys, gotta love 'em! ;)

I really liked the video.. I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. I think most shots of John and Chad made me laugh the most.
And this video is proof John Frusciante is the sexiest man alive. :hehe:

The only thing I can say I don't like about it was that it didn't really seem like a RHCP video to me. I congratulate them for working with a new director and trying something different, but I think this is probably their least creative video. Don't get me wrong, I loved it. But I can see any other band having a video like this, whereas other RHCP videos seem to only work for them and no other band. But then again..all of their funny personalities make the video better than any other group could ;)

But it's very fun and entertaining..and I am way too excited for this album now. I also want to hear their thoughts on making it..what their favorite parts were, how they didn't start cracking up at each other during a take....(although I think it seems to have an almost childlike atmosphere because they look so into dressing up) :hehe:
"I prefer to learn everything through music. If you want divinity, the music in every human being and their love for music is pretty much it. It's the big indication of their spirituality and their ability to love and make love, or feel pain or joy, and really manifest it, really be real." - Jeff Buckley

^^Well I thought the video catered to RHCP b/c the song seemed to fit so well in each era. None of the eras seemed awkward or anachronistic with them playing that song, and I think a song like that is something that very few bands can pull off.

But when it gets to RHCP actually being RHCP, that's the best part. It's almost like you're watching them live.

I adore them most when they seem to be having a great time, genuinely enjoying themselves, and it definitely looks like they were when they made this video ;) these guys have been keeping me entertained and loving them for a long time and how long they have been around and successful truly amazes me sometimes.

just awwwwwwwwwwwww! :hehe: they make me so happy, this video makes me happy, and John, in make up made me happy :hehe:

I didn't really like all the girl's makeup or anything, but some parts are pretty funny. I guarantee some people will hate it, because their bands are being sterotyped / made fun of. For some reason, I am thinking of Nirvana fans in particular... ;)

i thought the vid was quite amusing, but didnt really connect with the actual song.
also , is it just me but do some of anthony's lyrics sound like left overs from around the world - y'know the whole rhyming lyrics with the names of places.
