Hey everyone, I was wondering what kind of tremolo John uses on his famous 62 sunburst. I'm assuming its a non-locking trem, and most likely the fender vintage synchronized tremolo. However, I saw a close up picture like the guitar was being taken to the stage or something, and the saddles looked like a copper color, and shaped like a graphite saddle. Does anyone know for sure what he has going on tremolo wise?

This looks like the original bridge to me... The copper color on the saddles is just rust. The tremolo arm itself does look like a much newer model though...

I'm sure the bar is new. He breaks them all the time. You can see him breaking one at the end of the milan concert and throwing it into the crowd.

Just to be clear, that is NOT John's strat, it's a DIY copy of the original, I remember seeing it online quite a while ago
And John's had his strats pretty much standard, vintage trem blocks, chrome plate with nickel plated saddles, which rust within a couple of years. You can imagine how rusty they would be after 50 years of playing
