He discusses three albums here, if I'm correct, and I'm wondering what they are.
What is the album that John is talking about when he says Omar's solo record that has "some of my favorite stuff that I've ever done on it"?
And what is the soundtrack album that he's talking about that Omar did, and John sang a song on?
He also mentions a prog-rock record that him, Flea, and Omar did.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.

This may be the Omar soundtrack album.
(A Manual Dexterity)
http://en.wikipedia....rack_Volume_One
It also says there is a volume 2 that has not been released yet so the song John sings could be part of that. : )
I think this is the same album that he says has some of his favorite work?
I am guessing the prog rock album between Flea, Omar, and John is unfinished.

The interview was done sometime in February 2004 and aired on the 09th of March that year, on German MTV, as a part of the show MTV Spin, presented by VJ Markus Kafka.

"He also mentions a prog-rock record that him, Flea, and Omar did. "
It is most certainly this project.
The omar song he sang on could be this
I know it's not on one of the soundtrack albums but maybe it once was planned to be on "a manual.." The production is similiar.
BTW:
Absence makes the heart grow fungus seems to be A Manual Dexterity II
at least this has been said on tmv-forums...

Had no idea, thank you very much. I'll edit my reply to remove the erroneous bit.
