Hello everybody,

I feel quite excited writing this. It's been already some time since I registered here but today I finally decided to introduce myself. Ah, I'll get down to brass tacks. I'm Rafał (a male name if someone doesn't know :P). I started listening to John not so long ago, over half a year ago. It all began when 2 of my good friends were listening to some RHCP tracks. Well, I have to interject I'd never listened to rock before. The songs which were played made me curious about this band. The more days were coming along, the more songs I had in my mind. I totally felt in love with these people. I then found out that their live performance is even better. I took a look at the guitarist because my friend told me to check him out.

For the past 3-4 months there is not a single day without John. I just keep getting more energy for my life, I can't stop listening to it! When I'm depressed or joyful; when I want to think about my life - what I've done, what I'm doing, what I'd like to do. I think his music is a pure art. His albums, from Niandra Lades to The Empyrean, it's something that will stay with me forever. There's so many ways to describe how beautiful both, John and his music are but I'll just keep it for everyone's mind.

Ah, and some things I'm interested in my life in. That's pretty much math and physic - I'm on a beginner level, though. I'm just on the 1st year of high school, still being a young person :) Other than that, I'd to love make music. Whenever I visit my friend I play his guitar. I don't know anything about it but it's just so... awesome! That's amazing when you can create a piece of music. I'd also love to snowboard or go mountain biking (I like most of things that give at least a little of adrenaline or I can express myself by them).

That's how it all started. Now, I'm sitting here, getting to the end of this post and reading what other listeners have in their minds. If you guys need some help with anything - just give me a sign. I'm open for all kind of conversations, especially with people who are open minded (as most if not all guys here).

Much love, cheers!

edit: you may think it's nothing compared to other people who's been listening to his solo + RHCP albums since the very beginning, I say all that matters is in your heart and mind

its a great entry Rafal. and i know exactly what you you mean by listening everyday to john. he was more a friend to me than anything else ;).
and you like guitar eh? i started playing when i was 17. a friend of mine taught me the first chords and i haven't stop since then. i also realized anybody can learn guitar. i used to think it was impossible. but when i saw john playing live "Your Pussy Is Glued To a Building On Fire" and heard "untitled 2" something wake up on me i guess:)
i have no words to say what music can do to you. but i can tell you seem to a good person with good tastes, and the best music comes from people like that..
little by little anyone can. theres so much different music as there are people.
So, welcome and glad to have you here.

Thank you for such nice words! :) I'd like to start playing it but at the time I'm having no money at all, and I don't want my parents to buy me a guitar just at the time we're moving out to a village. I think I will just look around for a 'how-to-play-guitar' book now. I'm inspired by his live solos during the RHCP times. It amazes me how he can express himself, that's incredible. And his solo career is on a completely different level. It's a pure art, nothing more to add!

And yep, I'm also happy I found this forum. Thanks again!
