Hi everyone, I'm a 25 year old woman from Scotland. I'm a big John Frusciante fan (which is probably stating the obvious considering the forum I've just joined...genius forum name by the way...seriously genius lol). It's actually just been recently, maybe over the last 6 months or so, that I've got into his solo stuff and I can't believe I've been missing out for so long. For now I'm the only John Frusciante fan I know, and that's why I'm here I guess. I'm not really good with online forums, I've joined various ones in the past but I never keep it up. But JF's music is important to me and it would be great to be able to relate to some people on this matter. Never before has an artist inspired me so much in so many ways. I've always been a very shy person but since listening to JF's music and hearing what he has to say, I've saw my confidence growing, I have more belief in myself and more strength to get through things I never thought I could. I met my father and his side of family for the first time this year, and I saw my mother for the first time in 3 years. All this has seemed to coincide with me discovering John's music. I don't really believe in fate but his music couldn't have came to me at a better time. I've been through a lot in life and recently it's all been so overwhelming and I've had to do some things that I never thought I ever could do...and I really do believe John Frusciante's music has helped me all the way :)

Sorry if that was a little deep lol.

Anyway hello again to everyone, hope life is treating you kind wherever you are, and I look forward to talking to you all on here :)

Hey, welcome EchoSpirit

Don't worry, you're not the only John Frusciante fan in Scotland

No need for embarrassment, I think it's wonderful how John's music served as a catalyst for change in your life. I feel I've been on a similar path.
Anyways, welcome, I'm sure I'll enjoy your contributions to the forum!

Thank you! That's so nice of you to say, makes me feel better. I'm glad that John's music has had a positive influence on your life also, it's a beautiful thing, and it's great to come across people who I have that in common with :)

Welcome Echo. I can relate to you turning to John's music when life puts you through tremendous obstacles. Back in 2004 when John released a slew of solo releases, I had a bad family tragedy in which I found solace in listening to all the great music that John was producing so frequently. It's nice to read your intro and I look forward to your future posts. Hopefully you can find comfort in this forum with your new friends as you did with John's music.
