I think these are all the songs John colaborated in. Anyone knows if I'm missing something?
Please note that there are some collaborations missing such as Swahili Blonde, but that's because he collaborated on the whole record and not a song.

While I cannot think of anything, I find it hard to believe he didn't collaborate at all from 1989-1998. I guess the dark drug years really did eliminate his contact with the outside world.

Hi from the idiot who accidentally deleted the topic because it was next to a duplicate one. And sorry. O_O

Kristen Vigard's album was released in 1990, not 1988.

In 1991, Nina Hagen's album titled Nina Hagen Street was released and John is credited for the song Divine Love, Sex And Romance. He co-wrote it and played guitar. The funny thing is that they called him "J Fraciante" in credits. Then again, he's "J Puciante" in the credits of the Positive Mental Octopus VHS. :P

The same year, John and Flea were amongst the vocalists who performed on Lenny Kravitz-produced and Yoko Ono & Sean Ono Lennon-approved take on Give Peace A Chance. There's a cute little vinyl which is sold cheaply at the most second hand outlets.

(Amina was on it, too; the French runner-up at the 1991 Eurovision... She's an incredible vocalist, has anyone ever listened to her?)

In 1993, the song Ants was on the soundtrack of Perry Farrell and Casey Niccoli's art film, Gift. Around the same time, Enter A Uh and For Air were used for Toni Oswald's film Desert In Shape.

I'm not sure about Mila Jovović's song. Is there any solid proof of this?

You forgot New Order feat. Moby, Billy Corgan, John Frusciante – New Dawn Fades (Live), which can be found on the 24 Hour Party People soundtrack. I have the CD and John's definitely on it. Plus, Peter Hook explained how that came to be:

Quote

Moby is a devoted fan who once recorded “New Dawn Fades.” How did he end up on the L.A. bills?
He emailed me to ask if he could get on the guest list. I shamed him into singing for his supper, shall we say. I’ve played with Moby a few times over the years.
... including when New Order did his Area: One festival tour in 2001. I caught the final show at Glen Helen Blockbuster Pavilion, near San Bernardino.
Yes, I remember we did “New Dawn Fades” with him there one night with [ex-Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist] John Frusciante [who covered it on his own solo album]. It was fantastic and the first time we played that in New Order for 18 years. John had to teach Bernard and I the song in the dressing room! How bizarre is that?

He's not on Wu-Tang's "Windmill". I checked the credits and it turns out we were in the wrong for 4 years. They probably had a lot of samples from all their friends and ended up using someone else's.

I remember hearing a live Milla Jovovich song where supposedly John is playing acoustic guitar, but I cannot verify if it's definitely him since I don't believe there is audio of him vocally. I do know they were together for awhile in the late 90's which is right around the time her album "The Peopletree Sessions" was released.

The song you're referring to is "Can You Bend Your Back Like This". Some people thought she was saying "I love you, John!" and that's how the story came to be.

And they were dating for about 10 months in 2000. It was kinda creepy how public their relationship was...tabloids, mentions in every single interview with her and so on. Yikes.

One of her further cousins was my biology teacher around the same time and a friend's younger son was her boyfriend during the days she was in London. Life is creepy in so many ways. :toilet:

It can be quite creepy. I remember reading an interview where she said her boyfriend, who was John at the time, was very uncomfortable doing all the things that came with dating a famous actress, such as walking the red carpet, movie premieres, etc. The way he is now, married to a musician and living a reclusive lifestyle, makes so much more sense to me. I wish more musicians took a page out of John's book and lay-low....I can only hope he comes out of his house and goes on tour one of these days!
