Ok. So I've had my DS-2 for quite a while now. When I first got it, I loved mode II. It nailed the Frusciante tone we've all learned to love. But lately I'm finding myself using mode I more and more. One thing's for sure, Chords, especially open chords sound MUCH better in mode I. Mode II sounds good for lead or single string work. This has actually got me thinking about getting that remote switch or even a second DS-2 (is that why John has more than one DS-2 on his board)? What's your preference?
BOSS DS-2 which mode?

I know that. That really isn't what this thread is about.

well John used the DS-1 for quite some time earlier, which basically is the DS-2 in mode 1 ... and he also had more than one DS-2 on his board for a while, I bet one of them was running in mode 1..... a DS-2 in mode 1 paired with my gretsch gives me all the lovely Otherside and californication solo tones tbh
