[Surrogate_Helical]

Hi everyone. It's Kane here, and I've not posted on this forum for many, many years, possibly 5 years.. Brings a tear to the eye! In that time we have had another John solo album - Empyrean (yes it was that long ago) and now he has left rhcp to pursue a new musical direction. Despite the backlash Josh seems to have had from those 'hardcore' Chili Pepper fans I think he makes a perfect replacement (just saw a clip of the secret Nevada show and got goosebumps at the Under the Bridge backing vocals) Anyway, after having a massive break from John's music I have recently started to appreciate his wonderfulness again and I shall be keeping an eye out for future developments in his solo projects!

For those of you who don't know I am an Englishman, 22 years old and currently studying a BA in Social Anthropology in Kent. I play guitar, mainly acoustic fingerstyle stuff and I enjoy reading, walking, cooking and generally having fun.

I'm sure Iva will remember me (if not I won't be offended ) and I was wondering if there are any other old I-M lurkers who are still around then don't hesitate to give me a shout!

I *think* we talked on Twitter a month ago and that you didn't recognise me...and I said that I don't think there's some other Kane Taylor who said he just rediscovered John Frusciante. If it wasn't you, I'm sorry.

The old gang is mostly friends with each other on Facebook. Nella is working on her degree, Ivana has a baby born in late 2009, I have not seen Maria anywhere in years, Sarah had a baby a month ago and got married about a year ago, Natalie just popped on my MSN as I'm writing this and I believe she published a book recently, Hrvoje/Ares is still a regular, Amy was here a couple of weeks ago and posted a thread of her own, I have not seen Sami in a LONG time...anyone else I missed?

There are a lot of awesome new people, too, as well as some not so awesome ones, but I'll leave this to your own perception.

As for me, I lost my father to cancer in October (alongside a couple of other deaths of loved ones from July 2010 to January 2011), I stopped working for Lush when the new-old country manager convinced the new licence owners that they don't need a designer/copywriter/translator/Internet marketing manager, I freelance most of the time and I finished another school, so I have an associate's degree in new media design. And judged by comments I get on the site, I'm a suck-up-Nazi who's secretly obsessed with celebrities.
