Any ideas on what that could be?

Hope they will be as happy as me and my hubby have been - 30 years and counting

So I hope to John and Nicole that they will be able to keep that path to inside of them open. Because that path eventually keeps us and love alive even when things outside fall apart and love in there takes a nap.
I am sometimes amazed of the strength and love that lies in us. There is the love of kind people around, some total strangers to me and there is also someone very lovely with me to whom I will be married for the rest of my life. The vast sceneries of her mind that I have been allowed to travel in, I admire and thank. If it wasn’t for her, the loneliness would’ve been unbearable. So I thank myself.
Yes, we’ve been a bit over thirty years together and still counting…

I actually had half of a Sommersby 0.33 litre bottle. I wanted to make a toast; as if he was my older bro or something. Coming from a straight-edge person, that was one hell of a reason to break the edge.

Is it because I identify myself with John ? Is it because I admire this person ? I don't know.
Anyway I was very happy and I really hope the best for them both and I even sincerely hope that they will have children.
I hope John will continue making music, but I would prefer to know them both staying all their life happy together.

Since we seem to be sharing our reasons for not being married/in a committed relationship, mine is quite simple: unease. I'm generally uncomfortable with intimacy, emotional and physical, and despite a number of encounters and some casual relationships, I rarely feel the need to seek them out or even simply accept a proposition. While this would be quite normal and even respectable for a girl, in my masculine sense of the world, I tend to view it as a fault, and am working to overcome it; though it might simply not be a part of my destiny to have a permanent companion.

I guess, Fenix, I meant it a bit differently or just didn't fully understand what you meant.
And yeah, there is hatred in us humans and there are pretty freaking horrible things happening. We use others vulnerability to cope with our own - and with totally wrong means. So you are right in being amazed of it.
But if I would all the time deny what is right here, right now, cause it isn't what others have, cause they say it's less, cause I think I might be missing something or cause there are horrible things going on somewhere, I would lose what I have and got to give right here, right now. I could deny love by saying: "Hey love, there's so much more hatred around than that of you", but I don't want to do that, cause at the end I think the amount of hatred just equals to the amount of love needed. And I think, if I understood what you wrote, you too fight to keep love in you alive, despite other sirens sometimes calling you to give up. And I bet love is just that!
BTW, it seems that the marital rate (or even having a relationship rate) amongst Frusciante-fans isn’t very high... A correlation maybe...?
But I am not alone – I’ve never seen a stranger crowd...

I wish them all the best. But I honestly don't mind who he is married to as long as he is happy, healthy and continues to make more music!
