G13 is pretty awesome, at first i was like..is that an electric not plugged in? then i read your little info thingy. i think it gives it a really cool feel, the only problems being that A. it sounds like youre playing the lead across the room, if they are on seperate tracks you should definitely turn that up and B. the actual sound of the picking on the rhythm is louder than almost everything else. its easy to see the john influence in this though and i like it a lot

no war is even better and redrum caught my ear too. im all for lo fi but you might want to look into a slight upgrade in recording stuff. your music easily justifies it. the current feel of it is really unique but the prominence of the picking noise is tiring sometimes and would probably make it hard to listen to them regularly. youve got some real good stuff here though, keep it up

jmako, thanks very much for your comments, really useful, thanks. i feel really strongly about most of the songs i've written, i believe they are pretty good, and the way they are recorded gives them a unique character, but you are definitely right, the constant clicking of the pick on the strings is going to annoy people and the hum of the computer is annoying too. without question they need to be recorded with a better set up - i have to get on that really!
hope you managed to find time to listen to them all, there are some treats in there i hope people will love.
i am wondering if when listening to a lot of my songs they start to sound "samey". being the one who wrote them i know them inside out and to me each track is different, but i think that to someone else listening to a lot of my songs for the first time they might think they all start to sound the same because of the fact most are recorded in the same way. what do you think?
oh, btw, i took the murderers (trowftd) drum beat and used a similar one for redrum, that is where that song came from.
and for my song murder i made a progression for the second part very similar to a another part of murderers - did you notice that?
