I know I am.
I have this bad habit of going to bed at around 12 or sometimes even 1 a.m. on school nights. I have to get up at 5:50 on school days which equals complete hell. Sometimes it will be by choice when I fall asleep and other times I just cannot fall asleep. Recently it's been by choice. At night I start thinking about what the next day will bring and I start to get a little nervous. I do have anxiety problems but that's not to fully blame. I'll lay in my bed either on my laptop or listening to music.
On school days I will come home, exercise(an hour), do my homework (which takes anywhere from 30 minutes-3 hours), eat dinner, do something with my family and then get prepared for the next day. By the time all that is done I have to relax and do whatever I want. However, lately I haven't been working out and have been slacking on homework due to me being tired and honestly, lazy. I am so happy there is only 3 weeks of school left because everyday is a struggle which sounds stupid. As of right now I am very tired mentally and physically, yet I do not want to do the right thing and go to bed. My time management is horrible and it's taking a toll not only on me but on my parents as well. I have to find the right balance of what I should be doing and what I want to be doing.
Anywho, what 'vicious cycle(s)' have any of you experienced or are experiencing? How did you fix them?
Anybody dealing with vicious cycles?

Due to being ill for a long period of time and on medication for it I become very drowsy at nights and will end up asleep around 8 or 9 at night. Luckily I have things to do in the morning so have to get up otherwise I would lie in bed until about 10 in the morning.
I'm trying my best to change this routine by trying to do things in the evening. but I'm always so damn tired. I've joined a book club, go to the gym in the evenings and when my paretns go away for weekends I usually go with them and end up staying up a little longer.
A friend of mine has a routine kind of like yours and they fixed it by trying to have a nap during the day and you might feel a little bit refreshed. Personally I wouldn't do it but whatever works works.

Power nap...YES! Nothing wrong with a nice little nap in the afternoon/early evening!
