John did the bass parts for Light?
I always thought that only Flea was genious enough to pull off such a funky bass line.
No, nothing it just cannot be. Feeling has come from the sun. Like most everything and everyone
What seems lost is free from the force that slowly destroys us. And kills all matter off
Well, we don't control the chance that plays with us. And we get existence back by hurting others.
And when we go the other way it's ourselves we hurt. But who pushes on through eventually will see
Every moments first. Every moment is first. What's gone will never come back. But it exists when you think of it
And what is anything, anyway. But a series of things running through your brain. All of the fucked things you do
Are the product of whats happened to you. Whatever you create from love. Is a gift from the place which some call above
There's only the forces of hate and love. One breaks things down and one builds them up.

Note to John; Next time you decide to release a new album, please spare a thought for your...um...older fans and don't give approval to liner notes that are off-white in colour with tiny, tiny print on a greyish blue background. Some of us don't have have 20/20 vision these days!
Oh, and I'm sure I'll get flamed for this but next album, I personally would dearly love to see liner notes without any mention of Josh or Flea playing on the record. Just my preference.

I was also surprised that Flea didn't play that bass line. After a few minutes of my head exploding
over Frusciante's musicianship, I remembered an earlier interview where John said that he learned
all of the guitar and bass parts for RHCP. It's still good to have some proof of John playing bass.
Also, there's a bass in the background of either "the past recedes" music video, or in the Vpro interview.
I forget which. Does anyone know if John played bass of his other songs?

No problem. I originally wrote the notes down to put on my computer and my ipod, so I didn't have to get my Empyrean LP every time I needed it!
I figured that everyone else should have the luxury to copy and paste the notes instead of typing the whole damn thing up.
By the way, why don't you want Josh and Flea to get credit on the next album?

Well yes, sort of. I would prefer to hear only John but otherwise, I don't really mind guest musicians on his records. Just not Josh or Flea. At least not this time anyway.

However, anything that sparks a discussion and that people have not seen before for some reason is obviously worth it.
