On this Omar Rodriguez Lopez Group album I bought (The live one with the all Chinese title) Omar is getting some cool sounds on the first track, it sounds like OverDrive and Wah, almost like an overdriven Electric Mistress sound.
What might he be using to get it?
The specific part I'm referring to is the first section of the first song.

Here's the video for that album. The song is called "Un Buitre Amable Me Pico" and the studio version is off Solar Gambling. Should help with the hearing.

I can't say what he's using to get that sound but on that board from the pictures above he has a Boss PN-2 Tremolo/Pan, Boss DD-5 Delays (could be the other DD's but he's stated the DD-5 was his favorite), Line 6 M9, WMD Geiger Counter, MXR Micro Amp, Ibanez Tone Lok CF7 Chorus/Flanger and a Line 6 DL4 (used for looping).
The board he's using for this current tour has no Boss Trem/Pan, no Geiger Counter, and only one DD-5. He added an EHX Deluxe Memory Man XO, MXR Phase 90, Boss HR-2 Harmonist and a Ibanez WH-10 (version?) to go with the Line 6 M9 and DL 4, Micro Amp and Ibanez CF7.
The Line 6 M9 is a combination of the DL4, MM4, FM 4, DM 4 and Verbzilla plus it has a 28sec looper. It's really cleaned up his board.

I said he uses the Ibanez Tone Lok CF7 Chorus/Flanger, it's actually the Tone Lok TC7 Tri-Mode Chorus.
