What kind of delay pedal is better to play RHCP's songs? I know John use the Line6 Delay Modeler but it's too much expensive!

Is Boss DD-7 good? Which pedal have you?

Just plug the pedal into an amp and make sure it doesn't junk up the sound too much. I use Boss DD-20, got it used on eBay. Nifty little looper, does delay, reverse delay, and a few other weird things. I only really notice it digitizing everything when I run it with good distortion or overdrive.

"Well, it was put to me by "that guy" when I was, like, four. So I went into my parents' record collection and found a rock'n'roll compilation. And when my mom asked if I wanted to move to L.A., I said, "Yeah," because I knew that was where the rock stars were. I was seven. Then when I found punk and listened to the Germs, I started seeing how I was part of this. I remember being out on the baseball field when I was 11, and I felt like such an outsider. Standing there in right field, I started making up an angry punk song in my head, and I went home and wrote, like, 20 songs in a row. I realized it didn't even matter if I knew how to play guitar yet." -John Frusciante

Get a DD-3! It does all of the delay stuff of John Frusciante (with Chili Peppers and solo work). You'll get it cheap with ebay I think. DD-7 got too much functions (for me - ok. reversed delay is cool ;)) and it sounds much more digital like a DD-3 (I find it has a very good touch of an analog sound!).

Just my two cents.

Yeh I recently got the DD-7 & its a pretty nice unit, it has alot of nice features & sounds GREAT. Not the cheapest pedal out there but it should cover everything you'll need
