Hey guys. So, I've been playing guitar now for 2 years. Started out on acoustic but since John influenced me (duh) I wanted to pick up the electric, of course.

Started out on a crappy strat copy but now thankfully I've a nice 50's classic player strat. I love messing around with effects and I have a quite an expensive (well, for a person only playing 2 years) collection of pedals.

Next year I'm going to a college and will take some music classes, one where you specify on one instrument. Therefore it would be nice to have a simple pedal-board that I can move around easily..My situation now is that I got these very long, fat cables, which are very annoying. I don't really know anything about pedal boards so if I could get some tips on what would be a good starting point and maybe some tips for small, good cables, I would really appreciate it.

I have: Boss DS-2, DD7, standard crybaby wah and a holy grail plus.

Thanks!

if you want to make the board smaller, either you're going to have to get rid of some pedals, or get a multi-effect pedal. as for cables, look around for patch separator cables. ebay may be a great option for you.

Thanks for commenting.

Yeah I dunno, a multi-effects isean't really what I had in mind. I haven't actually searched around much online but I just found this one, looks pretty nice and it something like that I had in mind.

oh, so you want it more organized and convenient to lug around your collection of pedals? yeah go for something like that. i can't recommend any brand of pedal board maker.. i made my own out of some aluminum flight cases.

For your cables, get these:

If you have alot of boss pedals in a row, get these as well:

I prefer to battery power all my pedals with Energizer e2 Rechargables, if you are a battery person, I would use this one:

If you like your stuff to be plugged in, try this one:

oh yeah, if you are a battery person, you can get way better batteries online than what you find at local stores. better as in more capacity (mAh), and cheaper. but i usually have to wait a while for shipping as the best deals are from hong kong, or other really-far away places.
