I just discovered a nice trippy collaboration of Frusciante with Banyan, a band i din't know about before. Sounds really great, and although Frusciante seems so dizzy and mellow after rehab his guitar sounds pro, like always. Give it a hear:

You might want to skip to 1:58, unless you want to hear the discussion before the actual song. That's good to watch too. Enjoy!

And here is one more with John and Flea :

I just have the first song, never saw the video or heared the second one. Thanks !

In the meantime I also discovered Flea and John collaborated in Satelitte Party, an other band with Jane's Addiction member.

That's such a great song! Were they like permanent member or something, or just collaborated for that song? really dig that song, it's more experimental than meets the ear :P

I love that Satellite Party song; I think that was the only one Frusciante was on but if i'm not mistaken Flea played one one or two more tracks. I had this cd (along with all of my cd's actually) stolen so I can't check the cover right now.

More on Topic; I absolutely love the song with Banyan and I've never listened to them before. Going to have to look 'em up.

I'm listening to an album of theirs right now, Anytime at All, it's got such a fresh eerie kinda sound to it. I really understand why Frusciante collaborated with them. Also, if you're interested in the creation of that album, see this movie :

It's like they recorded the album over a whole summer, with dozens of artists making music and coming up with their ideas while sticking to the general spirit of music for music's sake and feeling good in general. I got such a unique feeling after watching the movie... highly recommend it.
