Hey there,

I´m the proud owner of a Failure Pressing (Vinyl) and I wonder to find nothing about the same item in internet. It´s like this: Cover and Label from the vinyl says "A sphere in heart of silence", what you can hear on the vinyl is the "Curtains" album. I´m just wondering if I´m the only one who has this item, because i didn´t find anything about that. So, to you people out there, who had the same luck than me. I wonder, what this item could bring, in case of selling it?
Please help me.

Best regards, Marco.

Is the actual vinyl labeled: "a sphere in the heart of silence"? or just the cover?

That must be pretty collectible. Hold on to it until JF dies, and then it should be worth a lot more, too.

Was that factory sealed? If you got it second-hand, it might just be a random error.

Also, the hypotheses you people are coming with sometimes are scary. I thought we liked him because he's alive?

of course i prefer JF alive. just pointing out that art is more rare after the artist dies.

So i guess im caught in a time-paradox-loop here :(
When i die, somebody's gonna sell my drawings (i prefer to call them pictures) but i won't be able to enjoy in all that money 'cause i'm.....you know, dead. If only there's a way...hm
I'm not in denial, i'm just selective about the reality i choose to accept

I also managed to buy a mis-pressing of this record in a record store in Melbourne, Australia. Factory sealed etc. In fact, because i didn't own a record player i didn't find out it was a mis-pressing till i read on a frusciante forum that there was a problem with the pressing. Then i compared the grooves on the vinyl with my Curtains vinyl (once again i couldn't listen to it) and noticed they were identical apart from the label on the record.
The same record store had another copy of Sphere and i managed to convince him to let me open it in the store and check if it was the correct pressing, which it was.

I can only guess that someone wasn't paying attention at the pressing plant that pressed the vinyl.

Just checked if mine is normal as it's the only one I never played and luckily, it is normal.

The only thing I can do is ask the label about this, but I seriously doubt that they have spare leftover copies or something.

it would be nice if could ask the label, if they know about this misspress and perhaps how much of this were produced. i own the regular version on vinyl of course, too. so i dont want to change, i only would like to know, how much of the misspresses exist.

with the best regards, marco.

Ok, I will ask.

And you could do something for me: add the link in your signature and actually put http:// in the front, so it would work. ;) That way you'll actually get clicks, this way you'll get none.

Hi Marco,

I probably have it saved somewhere and ready to reply to, as I have had extreme problems in my family since late 2008 on and eventually, I lost one of my parents. With about 60 leftover emails from this year and over 300 from 2008/2009, it will take me a while, as I have to handle work stuff first (and I was literally unable to work until November 2010). So, please don't be angry with me.

Oops. Well, that happened to many people, apparently. Not sure what to say as I am not directly affiliated with them and, at the same time, I help with some things. I'll see what I can do, as stated previously. :)
