I love my Squier Strat but I have put a lot of money into it and theres always something wrong with it so decided to upgrade to this Fender mex. Im going to put kluson tuners that I already have on it and some 62 re-issue pick ups and then its good to go, dunno what will happen to the Squier but I think I will keep hold of it for now and keep it as a back up.

The Squier has a Fender bridge in it I cant remember what kind though it was so long ago I changed it but I think its a Mex. The frets could be whats letting it down as the neck is really nice to play, the action is low and it didnt have any fret buzz or anything but of late certain frets are just muting when played, maybe it needs a fret dress.

How do the '62 pickups sound compared to the mexican and squire pickups?

tbh I havnt had a proper chance to test them out as I havnt played that axe much recently and im thinking of selling it. If I do I will probably put the pick ups in the mexican strat so will proeprly test them out then I just have to get the action sorted on it which is being a pain but from what I have heard so far they are very good, real nice clean tone but I havnt cranked them yet.
