Hey, so there's nothing wrong with the speakers I'm currently using with my amp, other than there are speakers out there that sound a million times better than them.

I'm currently using a Marshall JCM 2000 Tsl602 with stock wolverine speakers. Basically, today I went into Starving Musician (local music shop in my area), and I played through my amp head that was connected to a really nice cab. Not sure what kind of speakers they were, but the sound was much warmer, clearer, and just sounded great. So does anyone have suggestions on what I might reaplce the speakers with?

Would I be able to replace them myself too? or would I need to have someone do that for me? Thanks in advance.

Btw, if anyone knows of any reverse reverb pedals other than the EHX Cathedral and the RE-20, i'd like to know about that.

Ask around if anyone knows a good amp technician. You'll want someone who really knows their stuff to recommend replacement speakers. (And also perhaps replace them for you.) A word of advice however, don't go to just one amp technician, go to 2-3 stores. If you just hit one or two places you might run into a bunch of guys that just juice you for cash. The store that gives it to you straightest might not be the one with the best reputation. (I actually called up to Sommatone, and some local music shop with a couple guys in the back gave me better advice. It's just a matter of finding people who care about the customer more than the work.)

"Well, it was put to me by "that guy" when I was, like, four. So I went into my parents' record collection and found a rock'n'roll compilation. And when my mom asked if I wanted to move to L.A., I said, "Yeah," because I knew that was where the rock stars were. I was seven. Then when I found punk and listened to the Germs, I started seeing how I was part of this. I remember being out on the baseball field when I was 11, and I felt like such an outsider. Standing there in right field, I started making up an angry punk song in my head, and I went home and wrote, like, 20 songs in a row. I realized it didn't even matter if I knew how to play guitar yet." -John Frusciante

I like most celestion speakers, such as the vintage 30, greenback, and rocket.

I like the heavy Celestion vintage 30. I put one into a valve jr. cabinet and it sounds dope.
