I use the CE-5 because I can run it out to two seperate amps. I think it is one of the better chorus pedals out there.

I'd say personally the small clone would be better for the RHCP style. I have an old Arion chorus and i love it
It's like you're going into the fourth dimension. It's pure energy

I use for recording the Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble or the DOD FX65 Stereo Chorus. When I play live I use the EHX Small Clone and this pedal is really incredible and easy to use. Ok, it sucks that you can't do stereo things but you come the sound of the Chili recordings very near. For a really good Frusciante tone (Catholic School Girl Rule, Soul To Squeeze, Under The Bridge, and so on) I use the following settings:
Rate: 12 o'clock
Depth: knob on the under setting
That pedal rocks and with a Strat and a Marshall you rule da world
Before I forget: I personally don't like the EHX Nano Clone. There's a little volume drop when you turn it on and the sound is much more metallic like the EHX Small Clone! But this is my own sentiment

The Small Clone has done it for me, I don't think I'll buy another chorus pedal in the future. If you are searching for coming close to John's CE-1, the Small Clone is the most affordable option and it sounds great. Above it all, it's an analog chorus that will always deliver, no matter what. I am really happy with this pedal and it cost me under $100, plus it's great for playing Nirvana.

Haven't tried the Nano Clone. I don't like most chorus pedals, but I do love the Small Clone. I would avoid the CH-1 like the plague, unless you're into Zakk Wylde's "clean" sound.

Hmmm, I really like the Small Clone and Boss CE-2 at the moment :/ The other day there was like 30 Small Clones on eBay, and now there's none left!! And the CE-2 is only available in the Japanese version, so it's like £100 more :@ The CE-2, CE-5 and Small Clone are the best reviewed chorus pedals I've seen, but I really don't like the look of the CE-5; too many dials for a chorus, where as the Small Clone has only one :L
