hi,

i recently bought a fender mexican jazz bass (passive) for quite little money on ebay.
i really like it and it plays very well.
now i thought about building in new pickups but i'm not quite sure which to buy.

i've seen some seymour duncan on the internet. They offer quite a lot different pu's though...

does someone have experience or can give an advise which ones are good?

cheers!

The 'basslines' series are all decent, you can get active and passive sets too. Another really great upgrade you can make that will improve playability and tone is adding a Leo Quan badass bridge. I could not believe how much better my mim jazzbass plays with it. Clearer tone and better sustain also.

I replaced my stock jazz pickups with THESE and have not had a problem with them whatsoever. Really clear, just make sure whoever installs them grounds them properly. You won't be disappointed!
Be careful of what you are
What you see is just a small part
You must look for yourself in others
And all the places that you go
You see that they are part of you

Try the Fender CS60 Custom Shop Jazz Bass PUs. They are really cheap in the US and pull the most out of your MIM Jazz Bass.
