I'm fluent in both English and Italian, but I know most Italians are offended when a foreigner talks in Italian to them, so I assume it's the same with you...?

well.. i don't mind! i think it's a good thing when a foreigner speaks in the language of the country where he is. i don't understand why italian people think in this way (yes, we are weird) and to me it would be nice to listen to foreigner people speaking italian! (it must be a terribly hard language to learn for a foreigner)

Glad to hear a different opinion on that, as I usually experience the following scenario: I write 3 or 4 sentences in Italian and make one minor error. The person I'm speaking with decides I'm not fluent enough for their taste and they continue in English. :blink:
