Hey,

I have the fortune to be able to take a small amount of time off next year to travel around Europe. I'll have a month to travel anywhere I can by railway, and I really wanted to make the most of my time by creating something meaningful. I was thinking of going to the Capitals and finding the best live street musicians, not professional ones but people who have to play to survive and are good at what they do, because then there will be real soul to the piece they are playing. I'd then record them and make this an indie movie documenting their performances, offering short clips of their musings on life and their situation in between the songs. Can anyone share any memories of musicians they have seen busking who have really taken their breath away? (It'd be nice to find one who can play some of John's records but I know that is an unlikely dream :) )

Thank you

Prague has this band out on the Karlova bridge called "the bridge band" I think. They're playing czech folk songs with pretty cool (albeit traditional) instrumentation and are really awesome musicians. I dunno exactly when they are playing but they were there every day when I visited Prague. Recommended.
