I'm Falling Apart / You Don't Say
from P7, 2004-03-20 Henry Fonda Theatre
So I've started to learn this song (Db-Bbm-Ab-Gb, still trying to figure out the synth part) and I'm having trouble with the lyrics.
My link
The lyrics on the You Tube page are almost there but they differ from what I hear. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh and if anyone has figure out more than the basic rhythm please let me know. Thanks.
I'm falling apart, you know it's the life I choose
(Let go of .....?) I'll make it up as I go
I'm falling apart you know it's the life I choose
(....????? ) I'll make it up as I go
And though it's (......) inside of you?????
And though......??
And though......??
... though......??
I'm moving around (make it a....... )
Everyone aboard.......
I'm sailing across into the light I've seen
(Living small, don't have to crawl)???
You don't say x8
Now, now, now, now
You don't say x4

Oh well lyrics please... it's just hard to hear and I was wanting another set of ears to try and figure out what he's say, especially the falsetto. Thanks
And I've got the tab for most of it... finally the synth part - Ebm 11th position, Gb 9th position, Db 9th position, then after three runs it ends on Ab 11th position; arppegeated (sorry don't know how to spell) chords

I--------8-----8-------------8-----8----------8-----------8--------6-----6-----I
I-----9-----------9-------9-----------9----9--------------------8-----------8--I
I--11-----------------11-------------------------------------9-----------------I

Here is what I had originally.
And with your help I now have this :
I'm falling apart, you know it's the life I choose
Let's go up in thirds, I'll make it up as I go
I'm falling apart, you know it's the life I choose
Let's go up in thirds, I'll make it up as I go
(And all erases inside of you) x4
I'm moving around make it a dark country
Everyone aboard says they're tired of me
I'm sailing across into the light I've seen
Living small, don't have to crawl
You don't say x8
Now, now, now, now
You don't say x4

Oh and the last chord in the Db-Bbm-Ab-Gb progression is a Gbmaj7.
I think it's played like this:
e -1-- (index)
B -2-- (middle finger)
G -3-- (ring finger)
D -4-- (pinky)
A -x-- (muted with the thumb)
E -2-- (using the thumb)
e -1-- (index)
B -2-- (middle finger)
G -3-- (ring finger)
D -4-- (pinky)
A -x-- (muted with the thumb)
E -2-- (using the thumb)

Agent, very good job!
Take some singing lessons for the high notes and more "power" in your voice and I think you'll have a great future as a musician

I agree with Chili Pat about the singing but I also think maybe just a little more time with the song and it'll be really good. I'm glad you posted a vid and that this song is getting some circulation. Good job Agent001.
