Apparently there are some Les Paul customs--double cutaway?--that have 24 frets. The reason I was wondering is that one of the sheet music pages showed notes (tabs) on the 24th fret. My strat only has 22 frets.
So, maybe John's Les Paul has 24 frets. Does anybody know?

Most of the time you can play that note in lower frets on higher strings. If not, it is probably a bend or a typo, since John is known to play what it would sound like the 22nd fret on his 21-fret Stratocasters by bending the 21st fret and holding in it slighlty bended to play it as a higher note.
I don't know if you understood but it is something like that.
