Thought I'd ask the question, since now days 'not' having a computer is out of the norm...

With this in mind I was sitting thinking about how many technology items I use daily or on a weekly basis...

Here is an itemized list of what goes on in my house throughout my day.

  • iMac 27" (personal work computer)
  • Mac Mini (home theater)
  • Dell Laptop (work laptop)
  • HP Laptop (personal use)
  • Xbox 360 (gaming and netflix)
  • Cox HD Cable Television Box
  • Symbol PDA (work timesheet input)
  • iPhone (personal use)
  • AT&T Phone (work cell)

What are yours?

If I were to include all the devices my family owns/uses the list would be very long.

Personally use in order of usage:

Ipod Touch (music/internet)
simple Nokia phone
big-ass iMac (family - for daily internet)
Marshall JTM60 / guitar pedals
Macbook Pro (brothers - for recording)
TV and tivo

I am consumed by technology:

Powerful Windows 7 desktop - great for gaming and video editing.
Macbook Pro 15 (2010) - for making music and performing. OS X rules!
iPhone 4 - my first iPhone after years of basic nokias. Love it to death.
PS3 - fun HD gaming. Great BD player and media server.
Sony Bravia 40' 100Hz.
iPod nano - 4th gen. Best portable music player.

Why the iPod Nano and the iPhone 4? Why not use the iPhone 4 as an iPod? Since you'll be carrying your iPhone everywhere that you carry your iPod.. right?

Regardless of how materialistic I think this thread is, I have a question for you tech people. I don't know which phone to get and two I looked at seemed VERY similar.

HTC Desire or HTC Wildfire? I don't want an iPhone as they're not available through legal channels here yet and I am not big on Apple anyway, Motorola Milestone has a nice keyboard but I wouldn't like to pay that much, so these two are the ones I'm considering. From what I understand, Desire has a better screen, but what else?

To picture how clueless I am: my current phone is a Samsung Z107...you know, the second or third oldest mass-production 3G brick. I also has an E250 which was stolen and a Nokia 2360 which I got from my ex boss and never used as it was a piece of poo.
