what mics would you recommend?


oh and also.... What do you plug the mic into? :X The whole micing up thing goes over my head

shure sm57. its an indestructable mic and is one of the best for close amp micing. the thing can record practically anything, its insane.

as for what it plugs into, thats up to you. do you have a mixing board? you could use a usb interfact and plug into that. if you dont have one already i suggest buying one of the line6 toneports with a mic plug. there are other brands of course, but i've had success with those.

I second that.

Also, as far as placement on the amp it is "traditionally" done right in the front of the cone, but there are no set rules for micing an amp. Play around with placement and getting different sounds. Stevie Ray Vaughan miced his amp in the top corner just as an example.

I Don't know I'm still kinda fuzzy with the Micing up thing

I don't I actually need one ATM lol


But When I do get one I'll Pick up the Shure Sm57
