Are Frusciante's vocals going through a Leslie? Was he using the usual rig for the solo?
Also, anybody know what David Gilmour's rig was for "Any colour you like"
Thanks for any help.

not sure about the vocals.
john uses a big muff with some reverb from a holy grail pedal for the solo
as for any colour you like...theres a lot of synth work...but i do know that he used two guitar tracks and a univibe pedal for the big guitar solo

From the interview:
Frusciante: On the solo I used Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi fuzz and Holy Grail reverb pedals. Rick Rubin really cranked the first note of the solo to give it a thunderous quality when it comes in.
I don't think he used effects on his vocals on Strip my mind, btw I love beginning of the song.
Speaking of "Any Colour You Like", The song used advanced effects for the time both in the keyboard and the guitar. The VCS 3 synthesizer was fed through a long tape loop to create the rising and falling keyboard solo. David Gilmour used two guitars with the UniVibe guitar effect to create the harmonizing guitar solo for the rest of the song.
