I have noticed that there's a sticky for Swahili Blonde, but no sticky for Speed Dealer Moms, so time for democracy.

The first thread - Bang Face weekender

The second thread - Bang Fest

The last thing we know about the project is that they're occasionally in studio and that they have hours and hours worth of material.

Feel free to discuss anything related to the greatest yet-unheard band ever. :headphone:

Speed Dealer Moms = Three Amoebas Part 2. Would love to see John circulate recordings of either band this year - not holding my breath though.

Thanks for saving me about 20 minutes.

The Planet Mu guys are really nice, though I still didn't get an explanation of why my article linking to the Winipeg Sun article is the one they've chosen to link...

Here's the write-up:

how amazing is this music?? i haven't personally listened to any Venetian Snares, so not sure if this is typical of Aaron's sound, but this stuff reminds me of Aphex Twin which i'm a huge fan of and that makes me happy! i really can't wait for the real release!

Yup, this exactly what a venetian snares album sounds like. Its pretty far from aphex twin i would say... closer to autechre for sure.

This stuff was way more percussive and cracked out sounding than Aphex Twin I'd say, but the instrument tones reminded me of cuts from the Richard D. James album like "Cornish Acid" (only sped up) and "Peek 824545201".

reminds me of recent autechre

i saw autechre live a few months ago and they do a similar thing, just live improv electronic jams (in complete darkness, for that matter)

heres a track from one of their most recent releases

beautiful!

or something live from 2007

Since Aaron Funk is at a Halloween Party somewhere in Canada, it would be technically impossible for him to be in two places at once, even though he appears to be pretty productive. Not to mention that no show is scheduled a day before it happens.

I assume that's the way the website lists shows of all the artists whose music they're distributing. :)

In case you guys have not read that yet - the physical release of the single has been delayed due to a bad test pressing that does not live up to the label and band's standards; but the digital release date is still the 06th of December.

http://invisible-mov...ays-to-order-it

In addition to the above, those of you in USA might find it more convinient to order the vinyl through Amazon. Please, do use this link: http://amzn.to/hbH6KP

Props to travislopes for monitoring retail sites as a part of his everyday routine. ;)

I have a problem to buy the EP on Planet Mu : when I'm about to pay, my browser (I tried on Internet Explorer and Google Chrome) indicates that the site is not safe (or something like that) and it says I shouldn't give any personal information on it...
Does anyone else get this message?

The alternative solution would be to buy it on iTunes but it is a bit more expensive than the mp3 version of Planet Mu.
