OK guys... WH10 v2 is CRAP! :/

After 2 weeks of using my v2 is broken... From first day when i got it i noticed that switch is just bad. It is almost imposible to turn it on when you are siting. And that red LED gone crazy every time when i tried tu turn it on or off. Somebody have same issue with it?

And guys you know whats worst? I just LOVE how its sound. And i cant imagine using other wah. I used all Voxes, Crybabys but wh10 this sound is just amazign. And now i cant enjoy it... :/

What happen? OK, so yesterday... when i started to play i noticed that when wah is ON there are some strange noises every time i step on it and try to use it. I thought it was becouse of broken switch so i made little test and using tape i pressed it to max to avoid situation where footstep touch switch when its turn on. It looks like its something else becouse still there are those fukin noises...

It looks like im not alone here who can complain about this wah. If ibanez thought they can just copy same scheme into die-cast metal construction... they are wrong. Its suck that they didnt fix or check it before...

Im gonna send my wh10 v2 back and see what will happen. If they will fix it i will be happy. Like i said i cant imagine to use other wah now after i heard how it sounds. Dunno maybe i should check Wilson Ten Spot Wah? Im afraid to get another wh v2.

i feel so bad now... sad.gif

Whats more i was super careful about it. No accidents, no gigs, no adaptors just 9V alcaline batterie. I used in home, on soft carpet. wtf? ;/

btw, i recorded 60 second "test" and you can hear how it sounds now. You can hear those noises easly... check it out. i would be glad if ppl who already have it and have any issue with it, post here and tell whats wrong. Looks like they fucked up this reissue. sad.gif

run it through a looper then you don't have to use the switch.. I do that and I have no problems with a broken WH10v2 .... Well even the orginal WH10 is hard to turn on when you are sitting down.

I have to agree that the switch is crap sitting or standing. I put it into a looper now it isn't a problem I've had no noise issues thus far, and I've had the wah for three weeks. check my youtube and you can see the looper I'm using for it. www.youtube.com/jf4ever

It just a small truebypass pedal with an "in" and "out" like any other pedal... then it has "send" and "return".. put one wire from the "send" to the "input" on the WH10 and one wire from the "return" to the "output" on the WH10 .... just leave the WH10 turned on all the time, and use the looper switch to let the WAH affect your signal

yeah i already checked and bought loop. thanks for advice. hope they gonna fix it soon and i hope i will not have any problem with wh10 after running it into loop.

i mean... i suspect that its not only switch problem with it. there are to ways;

- switch is shitty and after some time using v2 it kills wah (btw, there was someone else here who complained about it and he said that one day he stand on tryin to turn it ON and then something broke inside and after that wah was dead.

- switch is shitty + there are other issues inside wh10v2 and after few weeks it gona broke no matter what we will do. (and here is another story which i found in internet about brand new v2 which was broken after few minutes of using it..)

hope its that 1st option coz then with loop we are safe guys.. ;o

Well your wah will still be noisy when you run it in the loop now when it's damaged already.. you have to buy a new WH10 too to put in the loop

My wah sounds exactly the same as yours in the demo. That means that mine is broken, since I was complaining of those strange sounds it was making. Does any of you know I can contact the company in the US that is in charge of returns of Ibanez products? I remember that the name of the company started with an H but I can't remember what its name was and right now their site is down. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help me out.

Mine came broken from the beginning but at first I thought it was my amp or something. Later on I realized it was broken, but I have no idea how to contact Ibanez for their warranty and I've searched their site thousands of times.

helpful?

To obtain warranty service, the Instrument must be returned to Hoshino at its address listed above
(-->Hoshino (U.S.A.) Inc., 1726 Winchester Rd., Bensalem, Pennsylvania 19020 ("Hoshino"))
through an authorized Ibanez dealer.
A return authorization number, to be obtained from Hoshino Customer Service Department, must be written in a conspicuous place on the outside of the return shipping carton or the return will be refused. When returning the Instrument for service under this Warranty, a copy of the sales receipt establishing proof and time of purchase must be sent along with the instrument. All freight and insurance must be prepaid by the original owner.

EDIT: On the Ibanez website it says that one should contact the shop/dealer where you bought your product. The shop/dealer then should contact Ibanez.

I have owned two WH-1s (which I purchased when they were new), and they are crap too - completely unreliable. JF can afford to have his modded or repaired, or to buy more of them.

The Wilson 10 spot is what I use in place of my original wh10. Its not exact, buts its EXTREMELY close. I use my wh10 at home, but out playing a show or on tour I use the Wilson. I would hate to break such a great and rare pedal, so paying the money for the Wilson was worth it.
