I'm guessing you play the chords as bar chords instead of the basic chord?

well, not really... the only ones to be played with barre would be the F (but I use my thumb for the root note) and the Bb (but there I dont play the high e and low e strings, it sounds better to me and I think John pretty much does it the same way).. the rest is all open chords.. hope it's helpful for you :D

Here's a cover I did of The Slaughter. I'm really proud of this one, it's probably imo the best one I've done. I haven't recorded anything in a long time and I think I've improved alot in terms of singing, playing guitar, and recording.

feedback is appreciated :P

Jay (and anyone else who posted previously),

Right now, I have not put the covers section back up, but I would like to feature one of you each week on the site playlist. Who's brave enough to go first?

Mr.Maniac the songs on your myspace are great and especially the cover B)

Here are my covers of three John's songs, I don't know if it worths something but it is covers anyway ^^ The Days Have Turned is a slightly different version that I made, so don't worry  There are only acoustic versions cause I think that John's songs are more powerful like that. I recorded with a quite bad mic but it's bearable.

Hey guys ;D

I have decided to dedicate a section of the site to fans' covers of John's songs. So, please PM me or email me at iva@invisible-movement.net if you have covered any of John's songs and you think it's good enough to be showcased.

PLEASE, DON'T SEND ME THE SONG ITSELF IN EMAIL I have dial up at home. Use http://www.yousendit.com or I will give you my backup email address which I check only at my friend's computer with broadband.

Looking forward to hearing what you have to offer. :flowers:

i have a cover of A Song To Sing When I'm Lonely, by me. people say it's good =)

Thanks to both of you.

Rafael, would you mind if your cover of The Will To Death would go onto this week's playlist?

As for you, Mesmetize, which one would you like on the playlist that I'm putting on on 12th March (there won't be cover on 05th March playlist...)?

I wonder where Dennis is, I wanted to feature his version of YPIGTABOF first, but he's been m.i.a. for a while.
