Please people, dont put in a true bypass. Everyone is buying this wah for the frusciante sound, and installing a true bypass and modding the wah will change the sound that you bought it for. The original wah does this as well, not to the same extent, but it does and you can clearly hear it.

Well thats not true.. I bought it because it is an awesome wah, and yes Frusciante made it popular, but I'm not trying to copy his sound 100%.. I like a clean sound without losing a lot of tone, and I don't like to destroy my wah, so to be safe I put it in a loop...

I didn't buy this wah only for the Frusciante sound!!I like Frusciante's tone but I want to make my own sounds too.. :guitar:
IMO modding the pedal will make it even more exciting...

Maybe its just me then. I just like everything to be 100% original unless something absolutely has to be replaced, such as tubes or pickups. Oh well, I just like the wah the way it comes. Both the original and V2 are extremely unique and I wouldn't change anything about them unless either of mine broke.

Hey guys i just "discovered" one more thing about the wh10v2(if you are using batteries)....9v batteries usually have around 9.5v-9.7v when they are new...if the battery that is in the pedal fall under 8.7v the pedal makes a srtange noise(like hum) while you sweep, especially when you play low E, A and D string...(at least in my case  ).....i guess i have to buy an ac adapter....

Try using the fancy expensive energizer batteries. (The "lithium" batteries or whatever.) Those tend to put out full voltage for much longer.

"Well, it was put to me by "that guy" when I was, like, four. So I went into my parents' record collection and found a rock'n'roll compilation. And when my mom asked if I wanted to move to L.A., I said, "Yeah," because I knew that was where the rock stars were. I was seven. Then when I found punk and listened to the Germs, I started seeing how I was part of this. I remember being out on the baseball field when I was 11, and I felt like such an outsider. Standing there in right field, I started making up an angry punk song in my head, and I went home and wrote, like, 20 songs in a row. I realized it didn't even matter if I knew how to play guitar yet." -John Frusciante

I use rechargeable batteries for all of my pedals.
I just got my black WH10 yesterday! It is in like-new condition and it sounds GREAT!.
Can anyone reccommend a way to reinforce the pedal so I do not have to worry about gigging with it?

Rechargable batteries or quality batteries are preferable for me. I don't like having a mess of wires and surge protectors.

There're some possibilities. Most people put a peace of aluminum sheet of the top of the pedal or they use some L-rails to make it more stable. You can buy a loop so you have not to stomp on it or you put all of the electronics in another case. Switch the switch into a longer one is an option, too. I wish you all the best with your black WH-10!

There's no announcement on that. It's up to your speculation.

I will just be sending my pedal over to Dirk Hendrik to get it with True-bypass and change the pot to one of the original WH-10 as well as fixing the strange scratchy sound that I get when I play it through 15 watt amps. Strangely, though, when I played it through a Fender Twin Reverb it worked perfectly, but with other amps it just doesn't.

i got a 535q today, it can do the ibanez, just as big a range, just slightly less funky, but slightly heavier, bypass is AMAZING, and the switch is godly, it WORKS!

we got only 1 in at guitar center and i got it as soon as i found it lol. freakin awesome wah. my favorite besides the dunlop hendrix jh1b wah. it gives a nice clean wah unlike many.

edit: the ibanez rep came in the store today and heard me talking about the pedal and said that frusciante is really helping to re-popularize the pedal bigtime.

Hi folks, any news about your WH10v2?

I ask because i got 3rd and its broken after 2 days. Its just incradible how they fucked up this reissue. I will probably get Wilson Ten Spot II Wah... Im just wondering if it has such a nice big range foot pad like WH10. I hope yes.

Still don't see how you all are breaking these things. Mine still works after a year of heavy use and abuse.

me too. I was really careful with it. There was many people who asked me about this pedal via. youtube and most of them, after few weeks, informed me that its totaly undurable. I tried to use safe batteries, pro power suply. Last wah is from new generation (bought like 2 months ago).

Could somebody tell me something about Wilosn ten spot foot pad range? I really curious about it. WH10 has great tone but like i said i adore this huge sweep of foot pad. Its such a "smooth sweeping" pedal. Wilson ten spot looks like standard crybaby, which doesnt have enough range for me.

This video might help, you can kind of see the difference in size of the two pedals; too my eyes the Wilson looks smaller than the WH10 though :)
