I'm not trying to disrespect John by messing with his tracks, I just did it so when I have a passenger they get the full effect without the feeling of the song dragging on too long. The places I cut the song are not noticable, there are no gaps or pauses, so I'm happy with it.
I also think I should say I'm not selling it or anything. In fact I've turned my family and friends onto him. I thinks he's great. I just make edits for personal use. Like on "Song To Sing When I'm Lonely", I replaced the electronic intro with the acoustic guitar intro from the acoustic version on "Shadows Collide", but I kept the final version after the intro the same. I also looped "Ramparts" and "Changes" because they're too awesome to be that short. If it's allowed I can let you hear them, but I don't want to get banned from the site for misuse or abuse of original music and/or forum rules. Peace friends.

That's quite cool that you mess a bit 'round with editing the tracks...

I try and respect it as the intention of the concept album, but either way is cool. It's there to be interpreted however you wish, Im sure he'd agree with that. Iva and the forum? Well thats a different story perhaps

i love this song, i love how long it is also , on each listen my ear points to different parts , recently iv been listening to the drum machine a lot, i love the subtle difference as the section progresses, so to me its not really repetitve

I was just joking on the board being precious, no biggie.

The way it fades makes me think that whatever the voices are representing, they're further and further away from the subject/protagonist.

Topic seems to be dead but I have a question.
I am looking into covering Dark/Light but I can't figure out what John says at the end of the song (along with the bass line). It's supposed to be something like "Take a listen" but I can't get the "Listen" part. It just sounds like anything other than the word "listen" to me. I searched an hour just for this on internet but I can't find out. Is it only me not getting it? Hopefully you guys can help me out.
I would be glad if someone enlightened me about this.
