I've heard a bunch of rumers some places and I've read things that have said that at one time John used a Whammy pedal. Is this true? If he has, does anybody know what songs he's used it in?

Thanks!

He used it for some live intros in 2007, in Australia, Japan and Coachella.

He should use a Whammy more often. That's easily my favorite pedal and I think he could do amazing things with it if it captured his imagination enough to try more often

I would have rather him use more of the effects in general.

He hardly used them all and was just on the wh10 all the time.

Every solo: Wh10

Got a bit boring.

In Australia he also used it for the solo on Californication.

Yeah, the Whammy IV's the one I got, it's probably the best version available. Jack White also uses it a lot (if you like the Whammy he's a god at using it). It's got the same modes as the original Whammy, but more. Anyone know of anywhere I could see some of those performances with the Whammy? Like any specific video on YouTube...?
Thanks!

I think pitch shifting is another one of those things that John makes irresistibly cool, but no-one else really pulls it off.
When John did it when I saw the red hots it was soooo spine tingling and exciting. But I've since seen other bands and its just like a gimmick
