I don't really learn whole songs in one go, I usually learn my favorite parts, play something else, learn a bit more a while later etc. until I've learnt the whole song.

Last thing I finished learning though was Greensleeves ;)

Learning 'Boston Rain Melody' by Steve Vai, 'Helical' by JF...and 'Manhattan' by Eric Johnson

Thats pretty nice i listened to that in my history of jazz class. But as for me, i'm working on finishing the entire curtains and SCWP albums and also goliath by the mars volta. All three on guitar.

I've been learning a lot of White Stripes/Raconteurs stuff, like Ball and Biscuit, Black Math, Many Shades Of Black, ect. because of the use of a Whammy pedal in them by the great Jack White, and I just got one for Christmas.
Also been learning some solos some Chili's songs, especially with the wah. :)

Thats pretty cool, i dont know the song but i got a John Coltrane cd a few weeks ago and immediately thought he plays a saxophone solo like a guitar solo or something. Reminded me a Jimi Hendrix actually when i listened to some of his songs because theyre really psychedelic.

i just learnt Firm Kick while i was at my parents. Played it til my family wanted to crucify me. Dont hav any equipment so the solo in the middle was a no-go (oh to have some shequels). then i started writing my own stuff, which is always a pleasure, and I've just watched the film "Control" so i think Joy Division songs are about to become very unpopular with my flatmates
John Frusciante: Ascending Endlessly and he don't even have to try.

Um... Sure, if it's correct, because I haven't been able to find the correct solo tabs. :D

I just learnt "Fuckin' in the Bushes" by Oasis, one hell of a song. I reckon they captured Led Zeppelin's hard rock style really well in this one (whether they tried to or not)
I has a dream last night that Muse were doing an awesome cover of it at one of their gigs :)
Happy owner of the "Smile from the Streets You Hold" CD =]

...it was a worthy $45

I was just playing around with Song To The Siren and when I added some echo and backing vocals (which just came out of me, no idea where from) out came a strange version of the song. It's nice, actually, but I have to delete it before it distorts John's cover in my head. :)
