There's a dead or sleeping Josh on the bottom and a skull next to him.
There's a topless John with his arms bondaged (I don't know if that's the right verb, so feel free to correct me) and his body is multiplied on top of his neck, then multiplied again and again. There are curls and heads are sort of displaced...the top body seems to be in a different pose. And he has wings.
I think the other face, right above the green iceberg/island and on top of one of John's multiplied bodies is a woman's face.
The sea looks like a wall with paint dripping as well. Brilliant. Bloody brilliant.
John is holding the same rope Josh is holding and Josh is also tied to the floor/sea bottom with that rope, in stitches. Also, the place Josh is in also looks like it's right under the roots of some tree. And the green thing is a broken sphere-shaped or egg-shaped ball.
Whoever did this is a total genius. This is incredibly beautiful!

It reminds me of the art he did for a recent John Cale album.

And the interview is interesting, I'm even more confident for the album when I see that he continue to speak about this immeasurable place.

For me, low : there is John , dead and buried and above : paradise end between the two levels : staircases to connect them . And the multiplication of the body would be to show that John moves increasingly to paradise.
For the moment lit's ike this that I interprete the cover ...

And Michael made a good point, though this is also very similar to the work of guy who did tour poster for Jean-Michell Jarre.

I can see the stairs leading down from Josh and then going up, it almost seems as they are on the same level, like there is no bottom part on the cover.
