"For the solos I borrowed Guy Picciotto's Les Paul Junior from the Rites of Spring days. This guitar was played through Ian's Marshall head that is pictured on the cover of Fugazi's Red Medicine. "

TBH a section for his solo album gear is not essential as there isn't that much info on it.
Better just stick to everything he has and possibly picking out for the albums. For the peppers thats not a problem.
For solo though its a bit more work.

DC EP
"For the solos I borrowed Guy Picciotto's Les Paul Junior from the Rites of Spring days. This guitar was played through Ian's Marshall head that is pictured on the cover of Fugazi's Red Medicine. This EP is also unique in that it is the only album I have done in the last five years with no synthesizer whatsoever. Jerry, Ian and I all hope to make more music together."

Yeah, no worries Iva. I goy pretty lazy about getting back into it for a while. I think the whole thing is nearly finished though. Until Imperium comes out I guess :D

Well, just because somethings more work doesn't mean you shouldn't do it. Maybe the opposite? I mean if we don't do it who else will? :D

Getting info on the solo albums is trickier(the half empty threads are proof of that!), but if I was coming to John's music for the first time I'd be more interested in his gear choices on those albums. On the peppers albums it's a bit more like your standard Hendrix setup.....

For TWTD:

Minimoog, Organ, EMT-250 Reverb

“On The Will to Death I used mainly the Doepfer. I didn't use the oscillators at all. I used a Minimoog for a couple of things."

"Josh plays organ at the end, which is going through my Doepfer.."

"I love playing piano, it’s a beautiful instrument, and especially with this thing that I have – it’s an EMT-250 Reverb – it looks like R2D2, and it’s about the same size as R2D2. It was the first digital reverb, and it was what Brian Eno used on a lot of those ambient piano albums. That thing is just the key to getting this really beautiful piano sound, so we used that on “The Mirror,” and it’s just one of the best ways to get a really great sound."

For IOE:

Les Paul
VOX AC15
Neve 8088 console to a Studer A-800 analog tape deck

"For example, the first guitar tone on Emptiness is a 1969 Les Paul into a cranked Vox AC15"

"Frusciante - and multi-instrumentalist Josh Klinghoffer - tracked Emtiness live through a Neve 8088 console to a Studer A-800 analog tape deck, after replacing the Studer’s 24-track headstack with a 16-track version."
