I'd really like some input on what you guys and gals might think. Thanks Also what's your opinion on the original WH-10? I know that they are cheap pieces of plastic and break pretty easily but which do you prefer the grey or black version?

I personally use the WF-10 (fuzz variant of the pedal, a little different on some other qualities too) and love it.
Havnt tried the black version but if it sounds like the one you made, very nice.
How much did it cost you to make your own?

Very good if you'll notice the first one is a bit on the noisy side. I order all my parts in bulk so I'm not real sure of the exact amount. That would also be considered a trade secret I suppose. The Black version of the wh-10 uses a 50k pot and a little bit less of a complex circuit than they grey version. The grey uses a dual gang pot one side of it is 50k and the other is 500k with a G taper. they don't make that type of pot anymore that I'm aware of. Although compared side by side they do sound very much alike. I think the volume boost of the original grey version is pretty much the major difference. The one thing I really noticed is the more depth that you put into the original grey wh-10 the louder the hiss of the pedal became, sort of a backround white noise. I suspect that is also a result of the volume boost function of the pedal possibly and maybe a result of the types of resistors and capacitors that were used. I'm curious to hear what the fuzz variant of the pedal sounds like. If you could possibly post a clip.

Sorry I didn't mean to be. Not really plugging just thought I'd let everyone know. Well I guess that is plugging it. I was petitioned by a group to clone it but haven't had but maybe 2 people order them and I don't think they were from that forum. Oh well glad I did it I really like the sound of it.

Want one so fucking bad, but I have seen a guy on the internet that has two, and he's living in Sweden! Must have it..
I wouldn't like if Ibanez made a reissue of it, it would be just like buying a 60s reissue Strat or something. It has to be plastic, dirty, expensive and old!

The Black one doesn't have the volume swell that they grey one has. I just completed a layout for the grey clone I think I've found a pot that will work. Just need to order the parts and build the prototype. I had to tear apart the one I bought off ebay for $400 plus dollars.

The one you tore apart, can you still put it back together again after?
