OK, I think the other threads have pretty much exhausted themselves so we'll move on.

Big thanks to everyone who contributed, I definitely think we weeded out a few little details that will help add up to a super-accurate gear section for the site. We're getting to close the point now where John started to give more detailed interviews about recording and whatnot so I think it will get easier from here on.

Wasn't John living in that hotel when he recorded TROWFTD? Chateau Marmont or something like that?

There was a specific interview I saw a few years ago, maybe someone can point it out. John had medium length hair, no beard, I think he was in his socks :frustrated: , sitting on a couch. He mentioned a funny story about working with Tricky. Anyway at the start of the interview the camera panned over the floor. You could see(I think) his Korg and Nord synths, maybe the microphone, and a TINY fender amp. Maybe a "Champ". Anyway, if someone could find that that would be most excellent.

I guess he started using his small bodied Martin guitars at this point?. The ones he used in those solo gigs that there are fan vids of.

I've included "From the Sounds Inside" here too, for obvious reasons. I think that's an Electro-Harmonix Micro Sythesizer on "I go Through These Walls"

"Solo album number three, To Record Only Water for Ten Days (Warner Brothers, 2001), was recorded at Frusciante's home on a digital 8-track. He made elaborate use of MIDI and sequencers on that album..."

"Frusciante extensively used his Clavia Nord Lead 2, a Casio SK-1, and the Akai MPC3000 on the album To Record Only Water for Ten Days."

I remember reading he used the Korg MS10 on To Record also.

Here are some articles from this period of time, since being a dumbass for playing and recording music, I can't help any other way.

Thanks. :)

I guess it's about the time to put these lists up and we can always add photos of instruments and add-ons later on.

No he didn't, he just maxed out the preamp on his microphone and recording level both up to 10. I remember reading that somewhere.
