The only album I can think of that didn't leak recently was "In rainbows" by Radiohead,
I am glad that The Empyrean can join the ranks of albums that didn't arrive online before going on sale. : )

I might get it on i tunes which i have never used, because i have a gift certificate from the holidays,
while i wait for confirmation that it is out on vinyl, :0
it is probably the highest anticipated release for me in a while!

There's an amazing article about that on Dosh Dosh. I think many bands should follow this concept. Plus, it gives a much more personal touch to the whole thing, I really am impressed.

I have ordered the japanese version on www.cede.ch and today I got the e-mail that they will ship it tomorrow....if they ship it tomorrow I'll get "the empyrean" on the 01/14/08...
I thought they would ship it from japan on the 14th and then it would be in switzerland on the 25th and I would get it on the 30th
but doesn't seem like that

before you can order it you have to register (the site provides 5 languages and it's free)...then you'll see if they can ship to the UK.

Thank you, I checked it and they don't deliver to any other countries, only Switzerland and Lichtenstein. I wanted the japanese version and I can't find any Uk site that has it for sale, so I ordered it from US, but costs $80 with the delivery, which is way too much. I won't buy anything for the rest of the year.

this is CRAZY

and its hardly suprising that in rainbows didn't "leak" before its release. i mean, only people working closely with radiohead would have heard it, since they didn't have a record deal at the time of its official release

i can only assume since i live in australia, and japan is like 3 hours behind... it will be online tomorrow
