I have been getting so anxious thinking about the thoughts of John's new solo album and the ideas of him touring. The same day I read the Tape Op article was the day I called my old boss and asked him if I could work for him again. It's kind of sad that this was the only thing that motivated me to get a job...not the fact that I never had any money, or that I need money for school, or that I have to come up with $2,000 by summer. What can I say? John is definitely more important.

Hey you're not alone...I've been saving my vacation days for John's tour. Where ever he's doing a show (and i do hope he's planning on doing at LEAST one show) I'm determined to be there.

I hope he does at least one in Europe and I hope it's not before the second half of 2008, so I can have all the freedom I need to travel normally.

Of course there will be one, the only question is when exactly. The French claim it will be next year already, as they want to lobby for Serbia.

while just a month ago or something John's album was in the "now in the studio" section

so it means that the album is in the final phase, just a step before the publishing/pressing/releasing stuff

but we must know that this could either mean that the release date is not that far away as well as it may take months and months (see AWII)

anyway it's good news so I thought it might be interesting, especially for those who keep on asking the release date (there's none known yet)

And seems that Green Fest recording might also be among the things he worked on, as it's a show that obviously needs heavy editing.

I find their music a bit creepy. "Stars" sounds like, I don't know, ghosts in an abandoned monastery.

But Saybia is a good, good band (love the song "A Day After Tomorrow"...), I never knew that they also work with Ryan!

Heh, that's supposed to be a secret! We reduced the upper bass boom a teeny-tiny bit (1/2 db). Other than that, it's how John mixed it.

Wooow, thanks for that news! I had no idea Mr. Hoffman was involved as well. Is he just involved in mastering of the vinyl or the whole thing in general...

...or are the albums' master copies vinyls in John's case, knowing how old-fashioned he is about recording music? I am a bit puzzled now and probably overexcited as well.

You'd suspect it probably for the vinyl only, but it means things are definitely moving!

I envy you for understanding that forum, recording and mastering music is as understandable to me as speaking multiple languages is to someone else. I even feel a bit ashamed for not knowing more.

I put this blurb up on the front page, just like I did it with Ryan Hewitt's announcement a couple of months ago. And those are the most important puzzle pieces.

What confuses me is the absolute disorder in John's record company: their website doesn't work, their staff member whom I had contact with has moved to New York and when I asked her who'll be giving us answers on what'll happen next, she either didn't notice that part of the mail or it's still unclear....
