John's involved with other people's projects as well. I don't think he's doing more than one solo record.
And maybe all these projects are the cause of the delay of his new album.

On the other hand, Anthony wouldn't call other people's projects John's been working on "solo projects", right? I don't know.. I don't think he's making more than one solo album either though.

But what about the electronic album? That's separate, and it's solo, even if he splits it with Josh again.

I'm inclined to think Anthony was referring to John solo projects. At least that's what I want to believe :)

The one Mando heard followed by the electronic album. (I hope!)

speaking of mando, we havent heard from him in a while :D :)

but the anthony interview gives me hope. maybe Rolling Stone will try to get in touch with john. becasue i had a friend who talked to john a couple times when he interned at RS in 2003-2004, and john was even kind enough to send him a CD of yet to be released stuff from the six albums series.

Guys, give Mando some time and cut him some slack!!!

He was kind enough to share this with us and now we should all wish him to pull out of the HORRIBLE thing he's in and live. He explained what it was about. Hello, he said LEUKEMIA! People die from it. We want Mando to be happy and live long, don't we?

The [word] still puzzles me, though. I guess John either has a different thessaurus than all of those I have or he gives words new meanings.

its weird to me that "solo x" will have "only" 10 songs :| after so much time just 10 songs? didn't he write like 40 or something? :)

Well it seems to me John goes in wildly different directions for different albums. Like on ByTheWay where he was saying he only wanted simple guitar parts, no bluesy rock guitar whatsoever, and then with SA he turns into Hendrix.

This might be the same. After the six 2004 albums quickly recorded, he turns around and puts out one really meticulous thought out album.

mando said that the songs are pretty lengthy though, so i'm guessing it'll still be the same general length as his other albums, just longer songs

When I first got to know Armando Ruiz, I thought he was a really smart kid with a good head on his shoulders. He had determination. He was doing things with his life. And when I heard that he had gotten leukemia, it was so shocking. Everyone's heart went out to him, people shaved their heads for him. I didn't know him that well but he was just a really good guy. We knew that he was strong and young and told him he would pull through it like a champ.

His brother informed us that he passed away this morning, at Scripps Hospital in Hillcrest. He wasn't yet twenty years old.

I can't believe this. It's feels crazy to cry for someone you never met but I feel so devastated right now.
I really wish his family the best and hope he can be happy wherever he is.

Right now it's 12:13 am on Memorial Day.
I'm going to make my today for him, because that war means something too.

Rest in peace, man :)

From his Myspace:

Hi All, im Armando's brother Miguelo and if you guys didnt know armando had was diagnosed with leukemia around august of last year and had been hospitalized and undertaking chemo therapy too... But as of today around 4 or 4:30 in the morning he passed away at the scripps hospital in hillcrest. I dont want to go into details because its too painful but know that now he's happy and is watching over us all...

It was his wish for us to let everyone on his phone contacts know, but i took it upon myself to let all his friends on myspace know since he spent so much time here and made very good friends. He was a very reliable source for everything Red Hot Chili Peppers, and for the fans out there like myself, you would be happy to know that Flea, John Frusciante and Anthony called him on the phone at least once. And he also listened to John's new album before he mastered it, which made him feel very special, Thanks to John's huge heart. Anthony also sent him a cd and a note.

As his brother I thank you guys for loving him and having him as your friend...

*His myspace page will be kept the same.

I can't stop crying...the boy was here, a couple of days ago, talking to us :) :D <3
