I personally am a HUGE At The Drive-In fan. So huge in fact I'm planning out the specifics of a fansite/archive of the bands legendary career.

Does anyone else here enjoy ATDI??

EDIT - I just got the temporary boards running. At The Drive-In Archives . If anyone is interested, please sign up. This a VERY young message board.

I like them. Relationship of Command is a good album...and I love the song Speechless from El Gran Orgo. I've seen bootlegs of them before and they looked like they were great live.

I'm a fan of The Mars Volta, and I want to get into At The Drive-In, but I haven't gotten around to it yet. And don't think I'm weird or anything, but there's this guy at school that has an ATDI t-shirt, and the first time I saw it I was like OMG!!!! That shirt is AWESOME!! And I told my friends about it and they asked me what he looked like, but I didn't know because I didn't look at his face... just at the shirt. And now I have to find him again so I can tell him what a cool shirt he has.

I was the same as you, loved TMV, at first I couldnt get into ATDI but then I bought their last album and worked backwards. Now I love them more than the Mars Volta.

They were a great band, I got into them through The Mars Volta. Though I have to say, good thing Omar and Cedric moved on to The Mars Volta, as they are quite possibly the best band of all time. :( But ATD-I was great, Relationship of Command is my favorite album of theirs.

I love ATDI! I am really into TMV and found out about ced and omars previous bands and though i'd give ATDI a go. I bought 'This station is non operational', which is a collection of songs across all of their albums and i loved it (also got a free dvd with it-nice!). I now also posses 'Relationship of command' and 'in/casino/out'. Its kind of a shame they arent around anymore as i really like their sound, but if omar and ced had carried on with ATDI then we would have no Mars Volta-which really doesn't bare thinking about! 'One armed scissor' and 'lopsided' are my current favourites!

I think its a shame that we cant have both ATDI and TMV!! If I had to pick i would pick TMV for sure though. I wish i knew about ATDI years ago-before they split up as i would have loved to have seen them live.

Has anyone heard any of Sparta's stuff? (the band that the non-afro members of ATDI made). I havent heard much of it.

Jones. How could you forget such a common surname?! Lol

I thought I saw him in Cardiff bus station once but then figured it must be someone who looked like him. WHY would Kelly Jones be catching a bus?!

Nothing to do with that but while we are on the subject... my ex (who is a hairdresser) used to cut one of the blokes from Feeder (I'm assuming it was Grant or Jon) mam's hair. I'm such you feel very fulfilled to know that lol

WHAT?!?!?!?! You were drinking with KELLY JONES?!

I adore Kelly Jones-he is so damn sexy! When i watched TMV in Birmingham we saw this guy who was identical to Kelly Jones. Me and my friend Tash were staring at him for ages saying 'is it him...is it? i cant tell!' Dont think it was though. Wow-drinking with Kelly Jones-the stuff dreams are made of! :P
