We all are, more or less, obsessed by John Frusciante or perhaps another member of RHCP. But now's the time to confess your past obsessions, since JF isn't necessarily the first one (altho he's the true one, naturally...)! I admit being obsessed by Chris Cornell for a long, long time, since the beginning of the nineties. But in recent years I finally got cured of that (his dabblings with Audioslave after the first album and the new haute couture phase did a lot to help) and now I'm free. I'd like to think that my obsession with JF is somehow on an healthier level (a contradiction?)...

lol I guess I'm obsessed with two tv programmes:

1. Starting Over (I'm not sure if anyone else has heard of this show but it's a reality programme and it's meaningful, love it)

2. Shortland Street (A New Zealand soap drama that I've been watching on and off for several years now... once you start watching it becomes quite addicting lol)
Well it seems like times elapsed and I've stabbed life in the back I'm searching for what it means to never be anything.

Im obsessed with tea too, but its not too great for your metabolism so ive been drinking green tea instead ;)

I went through a phase of absolutely adoring Michael Jackson, then got into hip and idolised DMX, but Michael Jackson balanced out the violence :whee: . Then i got bored of MJ and his silly behaviour, his last album was awesome but the money he spent on it, to only release two singles and not even do any live performances is a joke. I always loved Blackstar well since they formed in 99 i think and Mos Def has fast become my favourite entertainer, the man can rap, sing, act and is can be a very funny man. I got into rock music like last year even then it wasnt anything too rocky i.e Sublime and Rilo Kiley. And then i picked up Californication and got hooked, read scar tissue and have become crazy bout them. Johns makes me feel good and caresses my ears thus i became obsessed about him and remain so. Although not in a crazy MJ way as before where i would dance along to concerts and wear hats :whee:

Hmm lets see..

Last year I was really obsessed with the team in college basketball that's a few minutes away from here. The Blue Devils, that is. Anyone watch college bball? I was also obsessed with the star play for the whole season. I mean who can beat that? He's amazing at bball and he looks good..haha. Even though he left I'm sure I'll still be obsessed once the season starts again.

Umm..I also use to be obsessed with Harry Potter (movies/books/cast) for a long time, thats faded off. I also liked the actor James Franco for awhile. That's all I can think of right now.

^^ You and my bro LOVE the Blue Devils... his room is decked out in Duke memorabilia and crap... I'll watch b'ball from time to time too.

Well, if you want to know my other main obsession I suggest you check out the music forum *coughTRENTTHREADcough*

I love the TV shows Project Runway and The Office.

And I'm pretty much obsessed with Harry Potter, the books more than the movies though.

I need a new hobby.

Music is a very big obsession for me. Espically Frusciante and Bowie.
I need to stop spending so much money on buying music though.

I don't really have any other obsessions. Maybe looking at art? I need a life.

Oh, what else. I am obsessed with grammar and spelling. I confess that I am editing people's posts and fixing errors I consider to be unacceptable. So, if someone's "theres" suddenly became "there's", if someone's "your" became "you're" or viceversa, if someone "Johns" became "John's....

...it was me.

I grew up loving Duke basketball, I live about 5 minutes from the campus. Once and awhile I'll see one of the players at the mall or out to dinner. I unfortunely never ran into the one I was obsessed with. (I don't think that would've gone over too well anyways, considering I probably would have jumped on top of him..haha)

Oops..sorry about that. I tend to type really fast when I'm on the computer and I get carried away and don't even realize if I made a grammar or spelling mistake sometimes. :crying:

Wow, I'm not the only one! I'm a translator but also an editor, so I correct texts all day long. I can't stand bad grammar or spelling errors, I could even go into a foodstore and tell the salesperson that their outdoor ad is a disgrace to Finnish language. My friends call me "grammar cop"...

And Kane, I :angrysmiley:   ;) tea! I drink at least one pot (1,5 litres) a day! Goodbye swift metabolism...

I'll definitely join your Grammar Club. ;)

But other than that, I once had an insane obsession about the Aussie band Silverchair. I practically lived on anything and everything about their music for a long time. Then at some point they sort of split and I gradually moved on. But I still love their music, it's gorgeous.

And I might as well confess that I absolutely adore the Harry Potter series. Can't help it, the books rock.
There was a time that the pieces fit, but I watched them fall away.
Mildewed and smoldering, strangled by our coveting.
I've done the math enough to know the dangers of our second guessing,
Doomed to crumble unless we grow, and strengthen our communication.

Cold silence has a tendency to atrophy any sense of compassion.
