OK guys... WH10 v2 is CRAP! :/

After 2 weeks of using my v2 is broken... From first day when i got it i noticed that switch is just bad. It is almost imposible to turn it on when you are siting. And that red LED gone crazy every time when i tried tu turn it on or off. Somebody have same issue with it?

And guys you know whats worst? I just LOVE how its sound. And i cant imagine using other wah. I used all Voxes, Crybabys but wh10 this sound is just amazign. And now i cant enjoy it... :/

What happen? OK, so yesterday... when i started to play i noticed that when wah is ON there are some strange noises every time i step on it and try to use it. I thought it was becouse of broken switch so i made little test and using tape i pressed it to max to avoid situation where footstep touch switch when its turn on. It looks like its something else becouse still there are those fukin noises...

It looks like im not alone here who can complain about this wah. If ibanez thought they can just copy same scheme into die-cast metal construction... they are wrong. Its suck that they didnt fix or check it before...

Im gonna send my wh10 v2 back and see what will happen. If they will fix it i will be happy. Like i said i cant imagine to use other wah now after i heard how it sounds. Dunno maybe i should check Wilson Ten Spot Wah? Im afraid to get another wh v2.

Whats more i was super careful about it. No accidents, no gigs, no adaptors just 9V alcaline batterie. I used in home, on soft carpet. wtf? ;/

btw, i recorded 60 second "test" and you can hear how it sounds now. You can hear those noises easly... check it out. i would be glad if ppl who already have it and have any issue with it, post here and tell whats wrong. Looks like they fucked up this reissue. sad.gif

John is on the cover of the March 2012 issue of the Japanese magazine Crossbeat, which previously had a lot of features on him and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. There's a feature this time, too - an interview. One would assume it's something they saved from earlier, as there hasn't been a JF interview done after January 2009.

If anyone from Japan already has this, scans would be appreciated, a lot!

Ok, I'm really intersted on this. But I feel like there's a lot of confusuion, Fru said that he put SD vintage on the '62 Strat. Then I remember something like John tech saying the he uses Antiquities, but what kind ?? Surf or Texas ?? I remember someone in a forum said that were Surfs

Hey Everybody,

I know talking about lyrics and especially about John's lyrics can be tiring and stressful. It seems like the meaning, though transmitted via words, is always out of reach for words. Nevertheless, I'm completly in love with John's lyrics and consider them to be the best in the sphere of popular music - they might even be on the same level as the works of some of the most famous poets in history. As such, naturally, I also love to deepen and widen my understanding of them.

One of his main themes and methodes he uses seems to be that of contradictory statements. Until now I did not come across a contemporary poet/musician who drew so much on amiguity, paradoxes and contradictions. Such as...

"Somehow we fade from old to young" / "In that halo - Evil" / "To be here you first got to die" / "I wouldn't know my face if you all were me" / "And your hands are feet" / "Language is false but it speaks to me" / "Loose yourself in the far off worlds that are right under your feet" / "The will to death is what keeps me alive" / "And being tall meant lacking height, and being wrong meant being right" /... the list goes on.

Now, while listening to the inexpressibly beautiful "Ricky" I came across an even more contradictory contradiction (if you can say so). But I'm not sure if I understand right. It's not in the official lyrics. There it says of the last lines:

"And you can function as someone besides who you are" (4x)

But if you listen carefully there suddenly open up (at least) four different ways of understanding it:

And you can function as someone besides who you are
And you can't function if someone decides who you are
And you can function if someone decides who you are
And you can't function as someone besides who you are

I'm keen to know what your ears and minds tell you about Rickys ending. And did you find any other examples of comparable ambiguity that is not expressed in the official lyrics?

Guess what, you're right.

I had completely forgotten about that girl, but she used to have a solo project running and I went to check it out again. Turns out there's an interview in Tom Tom Magazine (magazine about female drummers) dating from July already, and it turns out that the DIY-project involves other people now, and that an EP will be released with Manimal Vinyl in Spring 2010, featuring John on guitar!

Sorry if there's a thread like this already, I must've missed it.

By depth, I don't mean a lot of material, I mean depth of thought, like meditating. It's great when artists go beneath the surface like Frusciante. George Harrison is also great, especially the Brainwashed cd, lyrics like "Universe at play, inside your DNA, you're a billion years old, today". And George/The Beatles with "Within You Without You".
With rap, Wu-Tang had a lot, and Wu affiliate Killah Priest's Heavy Mental has depth.
Can anyone recommend some more multi-dimensional music/lyrics? Thank you. Peace.
